Online resources: Abstract: A farm practice entitled "Production of Pole Snap Beans Using Chicken Manure" was conducted at Buna Lejos, Indang, Cavite from May to October 1995. The project aimed to: determine the Return on Investment (ROI) from pole snap beans production under Buna Lejos condition; put into actual practice the use of farm manure (chicken manure) in pole snap beans production; train the student in farm recording and financial assessment; familiarize herself with the farm practices required for snap beans production; and increase the yield of pole snap beans through the application of chicken manure. Seeds of pole snap beans (Kentucky wonder) were planted in a 500-square meter field. All the necessary cultural management practices, including the application of chicken manure were employed in the project. Green pods of snap beans were harvested 45 days after planting. A total of 305 kilograms of green pods of pole snap was harvested. They were sorted based on the beans characteristics of pods such as; Class A - without damage or with a diameter or length of 15-20 cm.; Class B - with a length of 10-14 cm and without damage of insect and disease; Class pods with very slight damage of insect and Class D not saleable due to severe damage of pest. A gross income of p 7,635.50 was realized in the project. After deducting the total expenses amounting to p 4,190.11, a net income of P 3,449.39 was obtained. A Return on Investment of 82.22% was realized.
