Online resources: Abstract: The Farm Practice Project entitled Production of Pole Snap Beans (Phaseolus vulgaris) Intercropped with Citrus (Citrus mitis) was conducted at Barangay IV, Indang , Cavite from November 1996 to March 1997 to help the student develop skills in managing a small agricultural farm. Specifically, the project was conducted to gain experiences on the actual management of a calamansi-pole snap beans intercropping project; generate useful information and provide recommendations on the appropriate production techniques in an intercropping system; acquire hands-on training in farm recording, accounting and perform financial analysis of a calamansi - pole snap beans intercropping, project; and compute for the actual cost and return of the project involving snap beans intercropped with calamansi. A 1,620 square-meter area was cleared and thoroughly prepared by plowing and harrowing two times. Seeds of pole snap beans were directly planted in furrows at a distance of one meter between hills. All necessary cultural management practices were done throughout the entire project duration. Flowering of pole snap beans was observed thirtyfive days after planting. First harvesting of pods was done fiftyfour days after planting . Subsequent harvesting was done every other day until the eighth harvesting - The total yield obtained from the project was 210 kilograms of bean pods which gave a gross gale of P 6,300.00. After deducting the total expenses amounting to P 4671.68, 4 net income of P 1628.32 was obtained with a Return on Investment (ROT) of 34.86 percent.
