Abstract: A farm practice was conducted in the poultry farm of Mr. Enrique del Mundo in Brgy. Castanos Lejos, Gen, Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite to provide an experience on how to manage broiler production. The project was conducted from October 31 to December 3, 1997. Two thousand five hundred broiler chicks were utilized in the project. The birds were fed with Chick Booster Mash on the first ten days, Broiler Grower Mash on the next ten days, Broiler Finisher Crumbles on the succeeding seven s and Broiler Finisher Pellets on the remaining period up to disposal flying of feeds was done gradually for three days. A medication program followed and clean drinking water was always made available. At the end of the project, the birds attained an average body weight of kg and consumed an average of 2.85 kg of feeds. Feed conversion ratio 1.71 kg and mortality was 3.4 percent. The actual net income was 183.81 which was higher than the projected P 35,495.20.
