Abstract: FERANIL, KHRISTIAN PELLO, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 1999. "Production of Eggplant Using Cocogro." Prof. Eulogia M. Alano, Adviser. A Farm Practice Project entitled "Production of Eggplant Using Cocogro" was conducted at the Central Experiment Station, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite from September 1997 to January 1998. The project aimed to a) demonstrate the effectiveness of cocogro in the production of eggplant; b) determine cost and return of producing eggplant fruit with cocogro as growth enhancer; and c) generate income from the production of eggplant applied with cocogro. A 500 sqm. field was utilized in growing eggplant. The field was prepared by plowing and harrowing twice with two-week interval between each operation. Furrowing was done with the use of a carabao drawn plow at a distance of 100 centimeters Initial application of cocogro was done one (l) week after seed sowing and second application was done three (3) weeks after transplanting. Final application was done at blooming stage or 40 days after transplanting. All applications were done at the rate of 10 ml Cocogro per liter of water. Harvesting of eggplant fruits was first done three (3) months after transplanting. This was followed by weekly harvesting until the plant showed sign of maturity. The project generated a gross income of P 10,200.00. A net income of P 5,038.92 was realized after deducting the production cost of P 4,520.00 from the gross income. A return on investment of 97.63% was obtained from the project.
