Abstract: mANIEGO, YEA LEN M., A-Grade Garments Manufacturing Corporation. Undergraduate Field Study, Bachelor of Science in Business Management Major in Marketing, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. Adviser: Mr. Roderick M. Rupido. A three-month field study was conducted at A-Grade Garments Manufacturing Corporation in First Cavite Industrial Estate in Dasmarinas, Cavite to apply skills and knowledge learned in actual business operation. The study aimed to describe the operation of the firm in terms of production, marketing and finance, and identify the existing problems of the firm and recommend solutions to solve the problems. The company produces high quality fashion apparel for market to USA, Europe, and Asia. They marketed the products through wholesale buyers abroad who distribute it to the final consumers. In its operation, numerous problems were identified such as machine breakdown, lack of qualified applicants especially for sewer positions, and increasing number of rework in the production that caused delay in the shipment of finished products. The study focused on the activities and experiences of the author in the firm. She was assigned in the engineering and maintenance department, personnel department, production department and clinic of the firm. Different activities were performed in each department that helped to develop self-confidence. The trainee encountered problems such as difficulties in familiarizing the term in engineering department as well as classifying the tasks given to the engineering and maintenance staff At the end of the study, it was realized that the activities of the different departments need to be coordinated to ensure the success of the whole organization.
