Abstract: TOLENTINO, MA. LUZIELA MENDOZA. Johndel Beach Resort Nasugbu, Batangas. Field Study. Bachelor of Science in Business Management, major in Marketing. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2002. Adviser: Mr. Roderick M. Rupido. A field study report was conducted to enable the trainee to apply the gained knowledge from the course to the actual operation of a company. Specifically, the study aimed to: describe the operational and organizational management of the company; determine the products and services offered by the company; and identify problems encountered by the company and recommend possible solutions to the various problems identified. Johndel Beach Resort is a tourists' paradise, which offers different products and services. It includes restaurant and bar, accommodations, boating, beach, games center, swimming pool, and other recreational facilities. Johndel Beach Resort promotes its name, products, and services through billboards, magazines, and yellow pages. It also sponsors fashion shows and sports league within the town. Since service is its main business, it gives importance to short-term and long-term accommodation, giving more preferences to tourists who would enjoy relaxation and admire the view ofFortune Island. Johndel Beach Resort has its long-term strategies. These include the cost, quality, speed of delivery, treatment of the customers in terms of friendliness and helpfulness, and flexibility or the ability customers. of the firm to offer a wide variety of products and services to its Johndel Beach Resort takes into account the inputs to be used on its operations. Aside from its regular suppliers, the company also purchases raw materials from its back up supplier' so that there will be no delay in performing the operations. Modern machines and technologies are used in the production process. Not only to mak it easier for the human resources in the production process, but also to generate good quality products and services, and to deliver the offerings in a fastest possible ways. To further improve the company's operations, the Following are recommended: in terni of compensation, the company should increase the wages of its employees and its compensation system must be based on the minimum wage required by law; in terms of employees' behavior, the management should be strict and give disciplinary action for the tardiness of some employees; also, the management should strictly observe proper conduct and courtesy of it employees toward their customers and they should be properly trained on the job appointed tc thein.
