Bachelor of Science in Criminology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Dr. Susan G. Tan. The study was conducted from November 2018 to May 2019 to assess the financial earnings of selected inmates at Cavite Provincial Jail. Specifically, it aimed to: identify the demographic profile of selected inmates; determine the livelihood programs implemented at Cavite Provincial Jail; identify the reasons affecting the earnings of selected inmates; and determine the process of managing the earnings of selected inmates at Cavite Provincial Jail. Descriptive research method was employed in processing the responses. Participants were composed of 150 selected inmates involved in the livelihood programs at Cavite Provincial Jail. A self-made survey questionnaire was the main gathering tool of this study eased on the results, most of selected inmates had an age bracket of 41 45 (30.7%), single, male and charged of drug-related cases. Most livelihood programs implemented at Cavite Provincial Jail involved handicraft making (45.3%). On the other hand, the following statements were results as to the reasons affecting the earnings of selected inmates: 1) When I have sickness illness or because of my disability; 2) 1 depend myself on the ability of others in terms of doing work program; 3) Unavailability of tools needed for work; 4) I can't make things others can do; 5) Insufficiency of materials in the program where I am working; and 6) It's hard for me to learn different types of livelihood programs implemented by the jail, rarely affected the financial earnings of selected inmates. Furthermore, the statement, "I am prohibited by jail management" never affected their financial earnings. As to the result of management of earnings of selected inmates, most of them kept their earnings by themselves and used it to buy personal necessities or to buy food. Sometimes, selected inmates used their earned money to buy materials needed for work or kept it for emergency purposes.
