The organization that they handle or have handled is currently registered, academic in nature, and already operating for at least three (3) years. Target participants were asked to answer a survey questionnaire which was composed of 60 statements in 5 parts. Descriptive statistical tools such as frequency, mean, and standard deviation were used in presenting and analyzing the data gathered. Pearson's Correlation was used to determine if there is a significant relationship between the variables. The study revealed that most of the registered academic student organizations range between 3 to 7 years in terms of number of years in existence; range of 201 to 400 in terms of number of members; range of P20,000 and below in terms of annual budget, and range of P51 to 100 in terms of membership fee. The study also revealed that most of the funds of the student organizations were from the membership fees that they demanded from student members and they allocated it mostly to their approved activities. Generally, the financial management practices of the academic student organizations are moderately effective. In terms of budget proposal preparation, their practices are moderately effective; on cash receipt management, are highly effective; on cash disbursement management, are moderately effective; and on record keeping, are moderately effective as well. The academic student organizations are preparing budget proposal, managing cash receipt and disbursements and keeping records most of the time. There is a significant relationship between the number of years of existence and the effectiveness of the financial management practices of student organizations while between the number of members, annual budget and membership fee and their financial management practices, there is no significant relationship. The study also found out that the most encountered problem of the registered academic student organization in CvSU Don Severino de las Alas Campus was the lack of training and orientation on financial management.
