Abstract: Sangalang, Leovie Tamayo. Isola Asia Pacific (Phils), First Industrial Park (FPIP) Barangay Sta. Anastacia, Sto. Tomas, Batangas. Undergraduate Field Study. Bachelor of Science in Business Management, major in Marketing. Cavite State University. Indang, Cavite. April 2004. Adviser: Mrs. Marilou P. Garcia. The study was conducted at Isola Asia Pacific (Phils) located at First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP) Barangay Sta. Anastacia, Sto. Tomas, Batangas from November 11, 2003 to February 7, 2004. Specifically, it aimed to expose the student trainee to real working activities and environment; describe the operation of the firm; identify the problems encountered by the firm; and recommend feasible solutions to the problems identified. The company offered base materials for Printed Circuit Board (PCB). During the span of training, the following skills were developed: proper personal relation, organizing and filing, encoding and any other secretarial tasks. Several problems were observed and feasible solutions were suggested. Failure to meet the volume of sales orders by the customers and customers delinquency and inconsistency in the management of the HR Division were experienced by the company. To solve these problems, the following were suggested: monitoring the materials that are needed in the production; addition of new machines for faster production; additional charges for delinquent customers, and HR Managers should give authority to the top management to impose disciplinary measures for the employees and conducting seminars on corporate ethics. The field study was conducted in line with the theories acquired in the classroom discussions. It contributed experiences to students in the development of the skills and abilities of students through actual training in a business firm.
