This study aimed to determine the level of occupational stress, level of psychological well-being in terms of autonomy, environmental mastery, personal growth, positive relations with others, purpose in life and self-acceptance, level of coping mechanism in terms of problem-solving, seeking social support and avoidance, degree of relationship between occupational stress and psychological well-being and degree of relationship between occupational stress and coping mechanism of newly-hired public elementary school teachers in Cavite. The researchers utilized descriptive correlational design. Purposive sampling and quota sampling technique were used to obtain the target number of participants. The Spearman Rank Correlation was also utilized to determine the relationship of the variables. Results revealed that the level of occupational stress of newly-hired public elementary school teachers was low, the newly-hired public elementary school teachers did not have an issue on their work and were able to relax and concentrate in the school despite tons of workloads. The results showed that there was a low level of occupational stress. The level of psychological well-being in terms of autonomy, environmental mastery, purpose in life and self-acceptance was average while personal growth and positive relations with others was high. In coping mechanism, the level of problem-solving was high and the level of seeking social support and avoidance was average. Majority of them were used to finding what causes the problem and finding ways to solve the problem. The results also revealed that there was a significant relationship between occupational stress and psychological well-being in terms of autonomy, environmental mastery, personal growth, positive relations with others, purpose in life and self-acceptance. The results also revealed that there was a significant relationship between occupational stress and coping mechanism in terms of problem-solving and seeking social support. However, between occupational stress and avoidance, there was no significant relationship.
