A field study was conducted to train the students in actual work and get exposed to the different activities in the company in order to enhance their business insights, experience to work as an employee of the firm and identify the problems encountered by the firm and recommend some feasible solutions to the problems identified. The field study was conducted at M.A. Technology Inc., CEPZ, Rosario, Cavite from November 3, 2003 to January 30, 2004. The data were gathered through observations and interviews with some of the staff. Other information were obtained from the records of the company. M.A. Technology Inc, is a manufacturing type of business that provides good quality products, superior workmanship, and proper management. Its products are shipped directly to the different sectors such as consumer electronics, computers, printers, wireless communication and automotive worldwide. The trainee was assigned at the Personnel Section where she performed clerical works such as filing important documents, photocopying, encoding, giving and checking the examinations of the applicants, preparation of the employees’ time cards and ID's of newly-hired employees. The author observed that the employees of MATECH have a harmonious relationship with each other. The different company events such as the Christmas party and the company summer outing helped improve interpersonal relationships among the company employees. The author encountered difficulties in gathering the data and information due to its confidentiality.
