A field practice was conducted at M-Power Service Solutions Inc. at Suite 407 la 0' Centre 1000 Arnaiz ave. Makati City from November 10, 2003 to February 20, 2004. The field study was conducted to help the student gain knowledge and experiences and to be exposed to the real world of business. It aimed to describe the organizational set-up, management practices, marketing and financial operations of the company; describe the various activities of manpower company and identify the problems encountered by the company and recommend feasible solutions. Data such as the description of the agency, services, organization, management and marketing activities were obtained from the company's record. M-Power Service Solutions Inc., is a corporate type of organizations owned by a group of experienced business professionals with more than 25 years of experience with the mission to upgrade and create employment locally and abroad. M-Power engaged in the field of manpower supply and janitorial services. In the field of manpower, the firm provides skilled and unskilled workers to its clients. For janitorial services, the company offers commercial cleaning and residential cleaning. The company also performs special projects such as "one time" general cleaning, it means that the agency clean the place within one day only. The company's major clients are the Smart Communication Inc Bank of the Philippine Island-Head office, US Embassy (Voice of America), Ford Alabang, The Manhattan Square Condominium, Marina Square Condominium, Standard Insurance Corporation and Manila Yacht Club. One of the problems encountered by the company is the tardiness of its janitorial staff. Lack of manpower supply especially for higher positions and fluctuating manpower requirements of its clients are also problems that the company is presently encountering.
