The general objective of this study was to determine the level of awareness to MTRCB TV Ratings and the parental supervision in television viewing among the selected mothers in Dasmarinas City, Cavite. Specifically, this study aimed to determine: the level of awareness to Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) television (TV) ratings of the selected mothers in Dasmarinas City, Cavite; their level of the parental supervision while watching TV programs with different TV ratings; and the relationship between the mothers' awareness to MTRCB TV ratings and their parental supervision on their children in viewing TV programs. Descriptive method of research was utilized, and survey questionnaires were used as a tool to gather data. The study was conducted in the top five (5) most populated barangay of Dasmarinas City, Cavite. A total of 250 selected participants can from the following barangays: Langkaan I, Langkaan Il, Sampaloc IV, Paliparan Ill, and Salawag. There were fifty (5()) mothers selected from each barangay which were selected using purpose\L? sampling technique. Based on the findings, in terms of the level of the awareness of the participants to MTRCB TV ratings, most of the selected mothers were highly aware. With regards 10 them parental supervision, most of the participants highly supervised their children's television viewing. Result showed that there was no significant relationship between the awareness to Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) television (TV) ratings of the selected mothers to their parental supervision in television viewing of their children. This indicates that the participants may or may not supervised their children television viewing even if they are highly aware of the guidelines Invade by the MTRCB for television.
