Abstract: DAUZ, CRISSA LANI D., DELA CRUZ, DELA CRUZ, CHIARA MARIE JOI A., and Pacifica, JOY MARIAN A. PROGDUNGEON: AN ANDROID-BASED PYTHON CODING GAME. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Mr. Russel L. Villacarlos. This study was conducted from November 2018 to April 2019 at Cavite State University — Main Campus, Indang Cavite. The purpose of this study was to conduct a Python programming game that would motivate and engage students learning programming by using block-based programming. Iterative development process method was used as the methodology of the study. The following tools were used to develop the system: Blocky, Phaser, JavaScript programming language, Sublime Text, Adobe Photoshop CS6 and Microsoft Word 2016, Intel@ CoreTM i5- 7400 @ 3.00GHz, 8.00GB of RAM, Windows 10 Pro operating system. 137 BS Information Technology and BS Computer Science students of Cavite State University — Main Campus were randomly chosen to evaluate the game application. The researchers distributed an evaluation form based on ISO 9126 According to the overall evaluation results, the system was judged to be excellent in all criteria such as functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, user-friendliness, portability, and relativeness. Upon the completion of the study, the researchers concluded that the game application met the satisfaction of the users and has provided an alternative to learning programming.
