The experiment on superphosphate fertilizer (0-25-0) was conducted at Tambo Malaki, Indang, Cavite from November 5, 1977 to February 23, 1978 to determine its effect on the growth and yield of peanut. A field of 655 square-meters was plowed and harrowed three times with an interval of one week. Commercial fertilizer was applied at different rates. Treatment 1 was applied with 200, kilograms per hectare, Treat-ment 2 with 300 kilograms per hectare, Treatment 3 with 400 614 kilograms per hectareg\Treatment 4 with 500 kilograms per hectare.
Treatment 4 (500 kgs./ha.) produced the highest mean average number of pods and the heaviest fresh and dry weight of peanut.
