Abstract: APLACADOR, CRISTHEA D., DE OCAMPO, JOHNICA CLAIRE R., ENCINAS, DENCEL, and RIVADENIERA CHRISTINE MARIE S. TAKECARE: Development of An Android Based Medication Management Mobile Application. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Prof. James Angelo V. Aves. The study was conducted at Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite, from August 2018 to May 2019, to develop an Android mobile application that helps the user about their medical consultation history and medication management. Specifically, it aimed to: I . ) provide an organize medical records including users schedule of medication; 2.) create a reminder that notifies the user and their loved ones to monitor their medicine or vitamin intakes; 3.) provide three different dictionaries namely: medical terminologies dictionary, medicines dictionary and common diseases and condition dictionary that includes necessary information about each word; 4.) provide a list of doctors in different profession with their contact and information; and 5.) give the users health tips and advices. The incremental methodology was used as development paradigm. A total of 105 respondents evaluated the mobile application, With an overall evaluation result of 4.59 with verbal interpretation of excellent. To further enhance the mobile application, the following recommendation are highly recommended: l.) make available to IOS and Windows platform; 2.) include images and consider Filipino name for each herbal medicine; 3.) patients can book consultation to doctors; 4.) doctors can access medical histones of their patient's medical hist01y•, and 5.) include alarm for the follow-up checkup.
