Abstract: BlTANG, PRINCESS JOY S. Use of Vermicast in Jill Melon (Cucumis melo L.) Production Enterprise Development Project Report. Bachelor of Agricultural Entrepreneurship Major in Crop Production, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2018. Adviser: Dr. Adelaida E. Sangalang. The project was established at the Central Experiment Station (CES) Greenhouse No.3, Cavite State University, Main-Campus, Indang Cavite. With a capital amounting to P 26,476, the project was conducted from January 2018 to April 2018. It aimed: (1) to gain knowledge and hands on experienced in jill melon production; (2) determine the profitability of the Jill melon production enterprise; and (3) apply agribusiness principles and techniques in managing jill melon production enterprise. The activities during pre-production period activities were procuring of seeds and other materials, clearing of project site and preparing of potting media. Sowing of seeds, preparing of plots, hoeing, applying of manure, raking, applying of vermicast trellising, transplanting, watering, training of vines, spraying of fungicide, weeding and cultivation, applying of fertilizer, cutting of stems and inedible flowers, harvesting, post-harvest handling, packaging and marketing were the main production activities included in jill melon production. The total cost of production of jill melon amounted to P 26,476. The total gross income of the production and marketing of jill melon was P 49,879 with a net income of P 23,403. The project had a return on investment of 88.40 percent.
