Abstract: FERANIL, CHRISTIAN DALE S. and SIMON, ELGENE D. CvSU CHRONICLES: Development of A 2-Dimensional Android Based Game Featuring the Detailed History of Cavite State University. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Prof James Angelo V. Aves. The system was conducted at Cavite State University Main Campus, Indang, Cavite from August 2018 to April 2019. The general objective of the study is to develop the CvSU Chronicles: Development of a 2-Dimensional Android Based Game Featuring the Detailed History of Cavite State University. Specifically, it aimed to: 1) build a game module that will contribute to the knowledge of the students; 2) develop a history module that will inform the students about the history of Cavite State University; and 3) design and develop a 2D android game to make the students with low-end devices be able to play mobile games in their smartphones. The Modified Waterfall Model methodology was used in the development of the system. The system was tested using the unit and integration testing. The researchers used a system software called Construct 2, Java SDK and Cordova, and Photoshop CC. Based on the test conducted by the researchers the system's requirement is an Android device with at least Android 4.0 version Jellybean and the maximum requirement is an Android 8.0 Oreo smartphone. The software was evaluated based on ISO 9126 quality standards for its functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, portability and user-friendliness. One hundred students from Cavite State University Main Campus and I 0 IT experts evaluated the system. Based on the result of the evaluation of the users, the system got the general mean average of 4.64 interpreted as excellent denoting that they accepted the system. And based upon the feedbacks and ideas of the evaluators, the software was revamped and amended. The -following recommendations were determined based on the evaluator’s feedback: 1) create a multiplayer feature of the game; 2) provide additional information about the different colleges of the university; and 3) create a version for other mobile platforms like iOS and Windows.
