CREENCIA, DEOGRACIAS y ROLLAN, Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite, April 1991. "Comparative Performance of Broilers Fed With Three Brands of Commercial Feeds Used at DSAC," Adviser: Prof. Apolinario Umali.
A total of 144 commercial broiler chicks were used in this study to determine the effect of different commercial feeds on the growth , of broilers. Birds were divided into three treatments and were replicated three times with 16 birds per replication. Each treatment were feed with the following commercial feeds: Amore, B-Meg and Sarimanok given the letter codes A, B and C for obvious reasons. No significant differences were observed from one to 'seven weeks old birds with respect to their body weight, feed consumption and feed efficiency for Treatments I, II and III. Mortality was low and differences were also found to be insignificant. The IOFCC values of birds in different treatments were also found to be insignificant with only one centavo difference. The lower IOFCC value obtained from Treatment I may be attributed to the slightly higher mortality. The three commercial feeds tested in this study had practically the same effect on the characteristic performance of broiler
