A comparative study on the gross anatomy of the digestive tract of native chickens from selected towns of Cavite was conducted in the Department of Animal Science, Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite from February 15 to 22, 1991 to obtain data on the actual weights and lengths of the digestive organs of the chickens. A total of 29 mature native chickens purchased from Gen. E. Aguinaldo, Magallanes, Maragondon and Ternate towns in Cavite was slaughtered to obtain their digestive organs. Results showed that birds coming from Magallanes generally had longer and heavier organs than those from the other three towns. On the contrary, the digestive parts of birds from Ternate in general were shorter and lighter. On the average, male birds from the four towns showed significantly longer and heavier digestive organs than female birds
