Bachelor of Science in Criminology. Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. June 2022. Adviser: Dr. Marissa C. Lontoc. In the world, where lawlessness and criminality are rampant, the children are the first to be put at risk. As a result of the abuse and neglect, children may endure a variety of emotional, psychological, social, and physical problems. The study was conducted to determine the risk and case management of the residents of the Bahay Pag-asa, Dasmarinas City, Cavite. Specifically, this aimed to: (1) determine the demographic profile of the residents of Bahay Pag-asa in terms of age, violation of laws and ordinal position; (2) identify the level of risk among children in conflict with the law (CICL) in terms of their behavior, personality, school and education and family socialization; (3) know what is significant relationship between the level of risk among CICL when grouped according to demographic profile; and (4) determine the problems encountered in conducting of risk assessment and case management by the staff and administrator experienced by Bahay Pag-asa. The study used mixed method. Percentage, Mean, standard deviation and Chi Square were used to get the significant relationship of the children in conflict with the law in terms of their behavior, personality, school and education and family socialization. The participants of the study are the residents of the Bahay Pag-asa who answered the objective one and two through a survey questionnaire. The staff and social worker used unstructured interview which were interpreted by drawing themes from the objectives four and five through thematic analysis in a deductive approach. Based on data gathered, important findings were drawn most of the participants are 18 years old and violated dangerous drugs act and most of them are first and second born child. And their level of risk is low in terms of their behavior, personality, school and education and family socialization. Conducting a risk assessment involves validation of information, open communication, professional development, approach to the residents are the problems encountered by the staff and social worker. In conducting a case management, the problems are workload and the lack of local government unit (LGU) monitoring; speed disposition and status of cases; and necessity of intervention and help given upon release. In conclusion, the level of risk of the child in conflict with law (CICL) is low and the LGU are encouraged to develop activities and programs that will aid the CICL in terms of their livelihood and proper guidance even before the scheduled discharged from the institution.
