Cuevas, Joseph k., 1992. "Response of Asparagus to Different Levels of Complete Fertilizer." Adviser: Prof. Josefino A. Viado.
The study entitled “Response of Asparagus to Different Levels of Complete Fertilizer" was conducted to: 1) evaluate the growth response of asparagus as affected by different levels of complete fertilizer; and 2) determine which specific levels of complete fertilizer is best suited for the growth of asparagus.
The asparagus plants were placed under different treatment combination of levels and frequency of application of fertilizer under the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD).
Result showed that there is a significant difference in the levels of fertilizer with regards to the weight and number of spears produced. On the other hand, insignificant results were obtained based from the average length of spears and number of days from transplanting to spear formation.
Based from the result of the study, the use of complete fertilizer at 60 gram level is recommended to produce more spears in asparagus plant.
