Abstract: MENDOZA, EUROSE JADE A. and NARVAEZ, PAUL DARVIN R. Dropping out of school as a factor on juvenile delinquency. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Criminology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. January 2022. Adviser: V-Jay S. Eusebio, MS Crim. Insufficient information about delinquency and the inability of a youth to read or write can have a negative effect on a child's development. Moreover, this situation has been connected to a lot of conditions in society, particularly in the continuous increasing of crime rates in children for adolescents. This reason in particular makes the mentioned age line picks at their curiosity at some point. This study aimed to determine the crime committed by a juvenile delinquency and the factors that caused the juvenile to drop out-of-school. The study used a descriptive research design. It is defined as a research method that describes the characteristics of the population or phenomenon studied. Furthermore, it focuses more on the "what" of the research subject than the "why" of the research subject. The findings of this study revealed a link between variables that cause children to drop out-of-school and juvenile delinquency. Most of the crimes committed by the out-of-school youth are simple violations against the city ordinances yet it has to be prompt immediately. In some instances, the infraction they are currently committing could turn into a more serious offense when it is not anticipated. For the gravity of the crime, the study discovered that the committed crime was punishable by a light penalty. Moreover, it revealed that out-of-school youth is committing a crime more than twice. Lack of parental focus on their child's education was seen as one of the obvious reasons why a juvenile becomes academically weak. Education must start at home and ability to keep it up in school. Financial problems are considered to be second factors for juveniles dropping out-of- school. And the last factor that made the juvenile drop out-of-school is because of bullying. This study also shows significant differences bullying. This study also shows significant differences among the responses of participants based on their experience and knowledge about the crime rate committed and factors that made the juvenile drop out-of-school.
