Abstract: CABUEN, RONALYN O., CRUTO, ZOPHIA ANJELA R., IGLESIAS, WILVIEN S., and MADAMO, ANGELICA FAITH L. The Effectiveness and Efficiency of Violence Against Women and Their Children Desk Officers in Assisting the Victims in Indang, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Criminology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. July 2022. Adviser: Dr. Famela Iza C. Matic. Violence against women and children is ubiquitous over the world, and they are inextricably connected, with identical risk factors and terrible effects. Although the research on pandemics is scarce, there is enough data to suggest that linked variables such as incarceration, social isolation, and ineffective institutional responses might raise or worsen violence levels. This study focused on determining the effectiveness and efficiency of Violence Against Women and Their Children (VAWC) Desk officers in assisting its victims in the Municipality of Indang, province of Cavite. Each of the 36 Barangay Women's Desk chairperson, the PNP Indang Women's Desk Officer and the perspective of five (5) victims of violence against women and their children’s cases. The study employed the descriptive research design. Percentage, frequency, and weighted mean were used to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of violence against women and their children desk officers in assisting the victims in Indang, Cavite. The study revealed that each of the 36 Barangay Women's Desks officer, and the Philippine National Police (PNP) Indang Women's Desk officers are very effective and very efficient in assisting the victims of violence in Indang, Cavite. Thus, the study recommended maximizing the filing of Barangay Protection Order (BPO) and to reaching the community more within its jurisdiction to promote the end of Violence Against Women and Their Children to provide information, education, and awareness in accordance with the guidelines of the Philippine Women's Commission and other government agencies with the authority to do so.
