The study aimed to find out the effects of Covid-19 pandemic on the mental health of
Cavite State University-Main Campus security personnel particularly to: (I) determine the
participants' demographic profile in terms of their age, sex, shifting schedule and the length of
their service and to analyze the effects to Covid-19 pandemic on the mental health of Cavite
State University-Main Campus security personnel rendering duty or service amidst pandemic
in regards with their emotions and physical interaction; (2) analyze the responses of Cavite
State University-Main Campus for the security personnel who is experiencing mental health
problem in terms of their duties and workloads; and, (3) determine if there is a significant
relationship between the demographic profile and the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on the
Mental Health of the Cavite State University-Main Campus Security personnel.
The research design used in this study was descriptive correlational. The primary
source of data was the security personnel of Cavite State University-Main Campus. The survey
questionnaire was the main instrument used to determine the effects of Covid-19 pandemic on
the mental health of the security personnel of Cavite State University-Main Campus. The
participants of the study were composed of 32 security personnel in Cavite State University-
Main Campus.
The result of the study shows that the Cavite State University-Main Campus was
extremely effective in maintaining the mental health of security personnel amidst Covid-19
pandemic. As regards the mental health problems, they properly handled the duties and
workloads of the security personnel despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
They did this by means of maintaining enough time to rest, providing comfortable place, giving
consideration to lessen the work, providing opportunity for counseling and taking action when
they notice that their security personnel is experiencing mental health problems. On the other
hand, it was found out that during Covid-19 pandemic, there were no issues that came up in
terms of age, sex, shifting schedule and length of service in security personnel of Cavite State
