The study entitled; "Perceived Effect of Lean Management Practices on Organizational Performance of Selected Manufacturing Company in Cavite" was conducted from November 2017 to April 2018. The study aimed to: first determine the demographic profile of the participants in terms of sex, civil status and educational attainment; second, determine the profile of the company in terms of types of industry, years of operation and number of employees; third, determine the types of waste encountered in the organization in terms of transportation, waiting, motion, inventory, defects, over processing, over production and unused employee creativity; fourth, determine the lean management practices used to eliminate waste in the organization in terms of 5s, Just-in-Time, Kanban, Kaizen, Poka-yoke and Value stream mapping; fifth determine the level of perceived effects of lean management practices in the organizational performance in terms of profitability and increase productivity of employee; sixth is to determine the significant relationship between lean management practices and perceived effect on profitability and productivity.
The data were gathered with the use of a survey questionnaire that was designed according to the objectives of the study. The list of manufacturing companies is given by the administration of First Cavite Industrial Estate which has 106 companies to be surveyed. Through the use of sampling techniques 84 companies should be the number of participants but the researcher did not meet the whole 84 companies and only 73 participants participated due to lack and unavailability of respondents. The participant of the study was selected through certain characteristics who are supervisor, production manager or anyone that was knowledgeable and experienced the lean management practices. Data collected from the survey questionnaires were personalized.
The result of the survey was analyzed using correlation analysis. The result revealed that majority of the respondents in selected manufacturing company in First Cavite Industrial Estate are always practicing the lean management practices to their organization which includes the 5S, just-in-time, kanban, kaizen, poke- yoke and value stream mapping but they are still encountering some waste mostly is the defects.
The result also revealed that the entire respondent has strong positive affect in perceived effect of lean management practices on organizations performance which includes the increase productivity of employee and profitability. In terms of increase in productivity of employee, standardization of workplace has the highest effect in the organizations using the lean management practices. In terms of profitability, increased return of investment has the highest effect in the organizations using the lean management practices.
