Abstract: ROSARDA, ROBERTO PE&A, Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite, April 1995, "Growth Response of Anthurium as Influenced by Varying Amounts of Different Organic Fertilizers Applied Under the System of Fertigation". Adviser: Engr. Renato B. Cubilla. This study entitled "Growth Response of Anthurium as Influenced by Varying Amounts of Different Organic Fertilizers Applied Under the System of Fertigation" was performed at the Anthurium House located at the Central Experimental Station of the Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite. Generally, this study was conducted to be able to determine the effects of varying amounts/levels of different organic fertilizers applied through the system of fertigation on the growth performance of anthurium. A 3x4 factorial experiment arranged in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) replicated three times was used in this study. Seventy-two (72) sample plants (two sample plants per plot) were used and observed in this experiment. Factor A was assigned to be the different organic fertilizers while Factor B was the varying levels of the following: Al - of application. Factor A consisted chicken manure, A2 - guano (bat manure) and A3 - biogas effluent. Factor B was distributed as BO - 0 ml. (control), B1 - 50 ml. B2 - 100 ml. and B3 - 200 ml. Results of this study revealed that the different organic fertilizers had significant effects on anthurium in terms of plant height, gain in plant height, leaf length, leaf width and leaf stalk diameter. The levels of application of organic fertilizers caused significant effects on anthurium in terms of plant height, width of the leaves and the diameter of leaf stalk. Significant interaction effects on anthurium were observed between these two factors in terms of plant height, gain in plant height and leaf length. Specifically, it was found out that the most suitable application of organic fertilizer was 200 ml. of chicken manure (A1B3) as it gave the most satisfactory results in terms of plant height, gain in plant height, leaf length and diameter of leaf stalk. Results also showed that organic fertilizers can be applied to anthurium through the system of fertigation or as a component of irrigation water.
