Abstract: RANGEL, ROWENA PERLADO. "Performance of Small-Scale Broiler Contract Growers in Upland Cavite." Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite. April 1996. Adviser: Dr. Andrew T. Bunan. The performance of broilers and the income of small-scale broiler contract growers as affected by farm size were studied. The farms were classified and compared according to bird population, viz: 1,000, 2,000 and 3,000. Data on bird weight, feed consumption, feed conversion efficiency and harvest recovery and growers' income were subjected to Analysis of Variance. Means were tested for significance using Duncan's Multiple Range Test. Except for feed conversion efficiency (P < 0.05), there were no differences (P > 0.05) between farm sizes on the parameters considered. Net income was higher in 1,000-head capacity farms only because of the smaller amount deducted for equipment.
