With the challenges posed by certain economic conditions, continuous increase in commodity prices, and the limited knowledge and support given to investments, it seems that the labor force is being left behind unable to respond to their daily expenditures and unsure of how to grow their money for the future. Thus, the study focuses on the secondary public-school teachers of the 7th district of Cavite to obtain a decent and focused number of responses to support the study. Due to the impact of education nowadays and the unavailability of studies with regards to the subject, it is essential to pursue this kind of research in order to assess and produce useful data to aid the workforce on their needs, financial management, and planning specifically, the teachers. The study was conducted to determine the income expenditures and investment patterns of the public secondary school teachers in the 7th District of Cavite. Specifically, the study aimed to (1) identify the socioeconomic profile of public secondary school teachers in the 7th District of Cavite in terms of age, sex, civil status, number of dependents, position, salary grade, and other sources of income; (2) identify the income expenditures of public secondary school teachers in the 7th District of Cavite in terms of cost of living, educational expense, health expense, and debt payment; and (3) identify the investment patterns of public secondary school teachers in the 7th District of Cavite in terms of risk level, the purpose of investment, investment instruments, and frequency of investing. The study used a descriptive research design and utilized online survey questionnaires as a research instrument. The participants of the study were public secondary school teachers in the 7th District of Cavite. Furthermore, the number of participants was chosen through Slovin's formula and stratified sampling technique, where a total of 321 public secondary school teachers were selected. Percentage and frequency distribution were used to analyze the data gathered from the participants. The study revealed that most public secondary school teachers were in the age bracket of 22 to 31 years old. The majority (77%) of the participants were female, and most of them were married and had two dependents. The highest frequency of the participants was Teacher I, and most of them had a salary grade 11 and had no other source of income. Furthermore, the income expenditures regarding the cost of living showed that food and non- alcoholic beverages represented their top priority, and alcoholic beverages and tobacco were categorized as their least priority. Educational expenses revealed that tuition fees were classified as their top priority according to frequency and educational materials (books, stationery, handouts, and modules) ranked as their least priority. The participants' most prioritized health expenses considered were medical and maintenance products, and inpatient medical services (hospital room and services) represented their least priority. Lastly, government loan sources (PAG-IBIG, GSIS) were their top priority, and loan sharks (5-6, pawning of ATM cards, etc.) were their least priority in debt payment. The findings of the study regarding investment patterns in terms of risk levels revealed that 221 out of 321 participants or the majority of public secondary school teachers in the 7th District of Cavite answered moderate risk as to the level of risk that they can tolerate. In terms of the purpose of investment, most participants considered retirement as their top priority, and returns were classified as their least priority. Furthermore, the study revealed that most public secondary school teachers invested in bank fixed deposits and insurance with regard to investment instruments. Thus, the public secondary school teacher's frequency of investing varies on the investment avenue they invested in. The participants revealed that they prefer to invest in insurance and bank fixed deposits every month. On the other hand, most participants never consider investing in real estate, government securities, stock markets, and cryptocurrency. In accordance with the outcomes of the study, it is recommended for secondary public-school teachers to keep balanced management of their income prioritizing needs over wants. With regards to their investments, it is suggested by the study to seek opportunities in business to help them grow their money. Due to the scope and limited information provided by this kind of study, it is also proposed for future researchers to explore and conduct more studies on the subject.
