This paper focused on the level of awareness on political dynasty of the residents of the City of Imus through quantitative research. Motivated by the theory of patron-client system, defined by (Stokes, 2011) as giving of material goods in return for electoral support. Researchers identified two problems in the study: (1) What is the level of awareness on political dynasty among the resident of the City of Imus. (2) What are the perceived progress in the city during the last three elections. Awareness is an important tool to achieve social change (Beck, 2015). And political dynasty is perceived as a threat to electoral process (Yusingco, 2019). Thus, understanding the level of awareness on political dynasty among specific population would be a vehicle towards regulating dynastic politics in a democratic society. A survey questionnaire was cascaded among 112 respondents based on purposive sampling. Respondents must be a registered voter and bona fide resident of the city. Gathered data were submitted to the statistician for evaluation. Researchers discovered a phenomenal high level of awareness on political dynasty among selected residents of the City of Imus. Another finding is that respondents are aware that the politics in City of Imus is heavily dominated by elite families. And less privileged candidates for government offices are left behind. Selected residents, at least the majority, viewed patron-client system in the city positively. And during the last three elections in the city, respondents agreed that jobs and businesses are booming, and there are continuous government infrastructure projects and tourism programs. Research suggested to future scholars to recreate this study with more respondents or to add variables. Furthermore, the paper encourages the City of Imus to looked for innovative measures to countervail the dominance of few political families in the city, one is to empower local political party in the city.
