Ecological Solid Waste Management Act (RA 9003) Practices, Compliance, and Awareness Among the Residents of Barangay Pulo ni Sara Maragondon, Cavite: Basis for Action Plan. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. July 2022. Adviser: Ms. Renalyn Canding. This paper assessed the practices, compliance, and awareness of the residents of Barangay Pulo ni Sara Maragondon, Cavite on Republic Act 9003 or "The Ecological Solid Waste Management Act". Using descriptive-correlation research design, the data were collected using a survey questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive-correlation and Spearman's correlation coefficient statistic. The findings of the study showed that the respondents often practice segregation, reducing, and reusing of their solid waste at home while when it comes to recycling and proper disposal, they only practice it from time to time in their homes. In the respondents' compliance with the prohibitions of the law, the respondents demonstrated to being moderately compliant. Lastly, in awareness regarding Republic Act (RA) 9003, the respondents demonstrated being moderately aware regarding of the law. The study also showed that there is a significant relationship between the level of compliance and the level of awareness of the resident of barangay Pulo ni Sara to RA 9003.
