This study was conducted to determine the social media influence and the level of political engagement of the Sangguniang Kabataan officials in Trece Martires, City. The researchers (1) described the socio-demographic profile of the participants in terms of age, sex, position in the Sangguniang Barangay, and educational background; (2) determined the most utilized social media platform by the participants that influence their political awareness and political participation; (3) assessed the level of political engagement of the participants in terms of political awareness and political participation; and lastly (4) ascertain if there is a significant relationship between the level of influence of social media and level of political engagement of the participants. This study focused on the social media influence and the level of political engagement of Sangguniang Kabataan officials in Trece Martires City. The researchers started conducting surveys from the month of March to April 2022 and by April 2022, the researchers provide a result for the study. There were 128 respondents in this study, and they are the Sangguniang Kabataan officials of thirteen (13) barangays’ of Trece, Martires City. The study employed descriptive correlational-quantitative research to determine the socio demographic profile of the respondents and the level of their political engagement. Purposive sampling technique was used to choose the participants of the study. It also used descriptive statistics to describe the variables: mean, standard deviation, percentage, and frequency count. The study found out that the use of social media influence had a significant impact on the participants' political engagement and awareness. It was also discovered that as the influence of social media grows, so does the level of political engagement among the participants. It is urged that Sangguniang Kabataan officials, as future political leaders and representatives of the youth in the political arena, use the potential of social media to educate more youth on issues so that they will become a good citizen and politically conscious.
