This study was conducted form August 2018 to May 2019 at the main tricycle terminal in Indang, Cavite, to determine the level of knowledge and attitude on smoke free environment of selected residents in Indang, Cavite. Specifically it aimed to: determine the demographic profile of the selected residents in Indang, Cavite; assess their level of knowledge and attitude on smoke free environment; determine the significant relationship between the demographic profile and the level of knowledge and attitude on smoke free environment; and determine the significant difference between the level of knowledge and attitude of smoker and non-smoker on smoke free environment. Descriptive research method was used in the study. Interview with the use of survey questionnaire were done to gather pertinent data. The selected residents in Indang, Cavite were composed of two hundred nine (209) tricycle drivers and one hundred forty-one (141) passengers. In the demographic profile of selected residents in Indang, Cavite, most of them are male with a total of 68.3 percent or 239. Out of 239 male participants, 130 are active smokers and 109 are passive smokers. As to age, most of them 93 (26.6 %) were 30-39 years of age. When it comes to civil status, most of them are married; smoker 92 (26.3%), non-smoker: 114 (32.6). Lastly, according to smoking category, most of them 216 or (61.7%) are nonsmoker. As to level of knowledge on smoke free environment, the selected residents in lndang, Cavite are strongly agree that they are knowledgeable on the harmful effects of smoking, to the prohibition and regulation set by law and to its penalties. Former laws regarding smoking ban and control gave the residents awareness and idea regarding the regulation of such law. Result made them to easily understood and gained knowledge on the new laws and ordinances on smoke free environment. As to level of attitude on smoke free environment, the selected residents in Indang, Cavite are strongly agree that they have positive attitude, appreciated and in favor regarding the rules set by law in establishing a smoke free environment. They are satisfied with the rules set by law regarding smoking control and regulation including the penalties. They give their cooperation to properly attain the benefits of such policy and appreciated the effort of the government in its campaign in establishing a smoke free environment. There is significant relationship between the demographic profile of selected residents in Indang, Cavite on the level of knowledge on smoke free environment in terms of smoking category. Non-smokers do not smoke or quit smoking because they know the harmful effects of smoking and the prohibition and penalty regarding smoke free environment. There is significant relationship between the demographic profile of selected residents in Indang, Cavite on the level of attitude on smoke free environment in terms of age. As age goes up, the people became more health conscious and became supportive to laws in relation to smoke free environment as it targeted even the passive smokers and the adults became more vulnerable to its harmful effect. There is significant relationship between the demographic profile of selected residents in Indang, Cavite on the level of attitude on smoke free environment in terms of smoking category. Nonrsmokers appreciated the laws and ordinances that control smoking in public places because it decreases their vulnerability to smoking related diseases as they are classified as secondhand smokers. There is significant difference between the level of knowledge of smoker and non-smoker. Non-smoker knows the harmful effects caused by smoking and penalties for violation of laws and ordinances on smoke free environment. Whereas, smoker do not know the bad effects of smoking especially they are active smoker and continue to abuse their body not knowing the consequences for their health. They also has less knowledge on the laws and ordinances on smoke free environment because they refuse to learn more about smoking ban and give more time to their addiction on smoking. There is significant difference between the level of attitude of smoker and non-smoker. Non-smoker appreciate the benefits of smoke free environment and favorable to the prohibition and penalties because they are classified as second hand smoker and the government implemented laws to protect them from harmful effects of smoking that guaranteed a positive feedback unlike some smoker who are classified as first hand smoker and because of addiction to cigarettes; they do not appreciate the harmful effects of smoking and cannot resist smoking even at places where smoking is prohibited.
