Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University. April 2011. Thesis Adviser: Ms. Vivian D. Rogando. This study was conducted to determine the demographic profile, climate change awareness and adaptation level of selected barangays in District II of Cavite. Specifically, this study aimed to (1) determine the demographic profile of the respondents in terms: of age, educational attainment, gender, employment and monthly income; (2) determine the level of climate change awareness; (3) identify the level of climate change adaptation; (4a) determine the relationship between demographic profile and level of climate change awareness; (4b) determine the relationship between demographic profile and level of climate change adaptation; and (4c) determine the relationship between climate change awareness and climate change adaptation. The respondents of this study were 30-60 years old and with 5 years minimum residency in the district. Three hundred thirty one respondents participated in the study. Simple random technique was used in selecting the barangays and cluster sampling in determining the number of respondents. The researcher adopted the descriptive-correlational design and quantitative- qualitative approach to research. In this study, survey questionnaire was utilized as the main research instrument. The statistical analysis employed were frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, Pearson-R, Spearman Rank and Point Biserial. Content analysis was also used as another technique in analyzing the qualitative responses of the respondents. The findings of the study indicated that most of the respondents belonged to 30- 35 age range, obtained college level, female, unemployed and had a monthly income of 5000 and below. Results revealed that respondents have a high level awareness on climate change and average level on climate change adaptation. Also, gender and employment were significantly related to climate change awareness level while age, educational attainment, and monthly income were not. Educational attainment, gender and employment were significantly related to climate change adaptation level while age and monthly income were not significantly related. Furthermore, it was found out that climate change awareness was not related to climate change adaptation.
