Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2012.Thesis Adviser: Armi Grace L. Bicomong This study aimed to: 1) determine the profile of non-academic staff of Cavite State University-Main Campus, 2)determine the job performance of non-academic staff of Cavite State University in terms of: a) Performance Evaluation System; b) Perceived job competency; c)Perceived job performance of non-academic staff by students, 3) determine the significant difference on perceived job competency of non-academic staff in terms of: a) age b) civil status; c) employment status; and d) years of service, 4) determine the perception and evaluation of non-academic staff on their own job competency. The study used the Descriptive Qualitative-Quantitative-Comparative research design to interpret the gathered data. The sampling technique which was used is Stratified random sampling and convenience quota sampling. The study has 148 non-academic staff respondents and 117 students. This utilized a survey technique using a researcher-made questionnaire that went through test re-test for reliability and consulting experts for validation. Results of the study revealed that based on the Performance Evaluation System, all respondents received an outstanding rating. While their perceived job competency which includes creativity, flexibility, job motivation and planning and organizing skills, reveals that they were very highly competent with their work. Lastly, the perceived job performance on non-academic staff by students reveals that they have a high level of performance. Furthermore, it also reveals that there is no significant difference in the perceived job competency of non-academic staff in terms of age, civil status, employment status and length of service.
