Abstract: CARAOS JENELYN QO. Socio-Demographic Profile and Psychosocial Factors Affecting Early Marriage among Teenage Mothers from Selected Barangays at Talisay, Batangas, Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in BS Psychology. Cavite State University. Indang. Cavite. Adviser: Mrs. Imelda R. Filart. This study aimed to determine how psychosocial factors affect the early marriage of selected teenage mothers in Talisay, Batangas City. This study also aimed to determine the socio demographic profile of the respondents in terms of: age, civil status, educational attainment, father’s occupation and mother’s occupation. The method utilized in this study is the Descriptive Method. The researcher used statistical tools for the statistical treatment of the data gathered in order to test the hypothesis The respondents were gathered using Purposive sampling technique from the different barangays in Talisay, Batangas. Respondents were 63 married teenage mother’s age’s 28-21. Based on the study, the respondents have different factors that influence based on the result of the list of interview question they have answered. There are various = reasons why young teenagers enjoyed to early marriage. The common reasons are peer on immature behavior of the respondents. In the result of the survey questionnaire the behavior factor is the most “influence” to the teenager mother of getting early marriage. Second is family factor and the remaining is social factor and peer factor. There are many factors such as early pregnancy, curiosity, engage in their different phases of life, peer, love at very young age, escape from parents, less parental guidance, financial problem, sociable, family problem, rebel to their parents, parents untimely death, strict parents, fixed marriage fear of being alone, poverty and lack of education.
