The local government unit of Maragondon, Cavite implements all the services of the Relief and Rehabilitation program of the National Government. The respondents or victims awareness level on the program was high. The service depends on the locations of the victims. The service with the highest implementation were on relief goods, emergency/mass feeding and clothes. The extent of the relief and rehabilitation program implements the services to the victims on the five respondent barangays perceived a different percentage of the implementation of the services while the barangay officials had a high percentage. The perceptions of the victims on the extent of the implementation reveals that Poblacion 1-A, Poblacion 2-A and Caingen perceived that the services were highly or very much implemented. While barangay Sta Mercedes, and Poblacion 1-B, perceived the implementation of the services as average or moderate.
Barangay officials of the five barangay Sta. Mercedes, Poblacion 1-B Caingen, Poblacion 1-A and Poblacion 2-A, perceived 14 items as “Very Much Implemented” and one item as ‘Moderately Implemented”. This data of the barangay officials have indicate a high percentage of implementation of the program of the MSWDO.
The z-test outcome value of 8.5228 which is greater than the critical value of 1.96 reveals the decision of rejecting the hypothesis that there is no significant difference on the perception of the barangay officials and the victims on the status of implementation of the relief and rehabilitation services by the MSWDO and the community is not aware of the existence of the relief and rehabilitation program of the MSWDO in Maragondon, Cavite.
