DE VILLA JEROME M. and GUANEZO FRANCIS JUNE G. DEVELOPMENT OF AN E-LEARNING SYSTEM FOR SOCIO-ANTHROPOLOGY WITH SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIETY . Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. October 2011. Adviser: Ms.Lydia P. Nosa.
The study entitled, Development of an E-Learning System for Socio-Anthropology with Science, Technology and Society was conducted to provide students and instructors of SOSC10 a better experience through the use of interactive and systematic learning tools such as the E-Learning.
The E-Learning system provides a better solution to deliver lectures, student score monitoring and precise reports from the assessment provided by instructors. Feature-Driven Development was used for methodology due to its simplicity and straight-to-the-point process for faster and better development of the system. The methodology has five phases, namely; Develop an Overall Model, Build a Feature List, Plan by Feature, Design by Feature, and Build by Feature.
During the system building, proponents used PHP 5.3.1 as the programming language, Adobe Photoshop CS5 for the design and MySQL 5.1.41 which served as the data storage. The system was evaluated by the computer experts, end-users, and CAS students of Cavite State University based on the given criteria such as: user acceptance, reliability, consistency, accuracy and efficiency. The software passed all the given criteria in evaluation and achieved all the targeted features and functionality as well as the requirements and its objectives.
