The study entitled “Development of Online Student Advising System for the College of Nursing” was developed to help the students view their current status more easily in modernized way through the use of electronic information tool and for the advisers to lessen their workload and for monitoring his advisees in an easy way and accurate time.
The proponents used Iterative development process model in developing the system and solving the identified problems. For the materials, the proponents used Windows 7 as Operating System, PHP as the scripting language, Macromedia Dreamweaver for the design, MySQL for the database and Microsoft Word for the documentation.
The software was evaluated by the College of Nursing students and advisers who are the users of the software. The system is evaluated using these following criteria: Accuracy, Consistency, Correctness, Reliability, and Information in the program, User Interaction and Technical Aspect of the software and materials. After the evaluation of the system, the proponents considered some comments and suggestions of the evaluator to further improve the system.
