MUSNI, NATHANIEL, P. The Effect of HemicellTM Supplementation on the Growth Performance of Weaned Piglets. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Agriculture major in Animal Science, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2006. Adviser: Dr. Cristina F. Olo.
The effect of the different levels of HemicellTM supplementation on the body weight, body weight, gain in weight, feed consumption and feed conversion efficiency of weaned piglets was evaluated. Four treatments were used in the study: T1- Control (no supplementation), T2-0.50 g of HemicellTM per kg of feeds, T3- 0.75 g of HemicellTM per kg of feeds and T4- 1.0 g of HemicellTM per kg of feeds supplemented to the piglets for four weeks. Supplementation of different levels of HemicellTM did not significantly (P>0.05) influence body weight, gain in weight and feed conversion efficiency of weaned piglets. However, it influenced the feed consumption of the piglets.
