Abstract: OLIVAR, JAYSON C., "Management Practices Employed at Indang Breeder Farm" (Cobb Vantress 500 Breeder/Layer Farm) A Special Problem, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite, April 2001. Adviser: Dr. Mary Grace M. Aterrado. This study was conducted at Indang Breeder Farm in Italaro, Indang Cavite from January to February 2001. The study aimed to determine the management practices employed in the farm and to gain knowledge through actual observation. Data were collected by the use of prepared questionnaire and an actual interview with the personnel of the farm. The farm has two houses with a monitor-type roofing. Each house was divided into five pens with 1,000 heads of chickens per pen. Automatic feeders and waterers were used and fresh and clean water were always provided. Disinfected foot and tire bath were provided at the entrance of the farm. Fresh and Old manure were removed and sold to the farmers as fertilizer. Fumigation was Practiced after every collection of eggs with the use of formalin and potassium Permanganate (KMn04). Vaccination of birds with the use of Rhenopore and Corryza vaccine was also practiced in the farm. Vitarich Corporation is responsible for the marketing of the poultry products.
