Online resources: Abstract: The study on "The Effect of Different Green Manures in Combination with Lime on the Growth and Yield of Peanut" i was conducted from November, 1978 to February, 1979 in Alulod, Indang, Cavite. It aimed to find out the effect of different green manures combined with lime on the growth and yield of peanut. An area of 588 square meters was divided into four blocks and further subdivided into four plots which represents the treatments. Treatments were distributed at random. The land was prepared through alternate plowing and harrowing to eradicate weeds and other trashes in the field. Planting was performed on November 10, 1978 ata distance of 30 x 30 centimeters dropping 2 to 3 seeds per hill in furrows. Dates of flowering has been recorded and harvesting was done on February 20, 1979 or 111 days after planting. . Treatment 2 (ipil-ipil leaves and lime) gave the best result. It produced the highest number and weight of pods. It gave the highest mean weight of clean shelled peanuts.
