Abstract: This study was conducted to compare the effect of Peruvian ipil-ipil and Native ipil-ipil as feed supplement to broiler ration. The study covered aperiod of eight weeks and was conducted at the Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite from January 10 to March 10, 1978. Sixty-six (66) broiler chicks were divided into three lots of twenty-two heads each. Lot 1 served as the control and Lots 2 and 3, the experimental lots, were supplemented with Native and Peruvian ipil-ipil respectively. Feeds, ipil-ipil leaves and drinking water were given ad libitum throughout the experimental period. Care, management and environmental conditions were made in all lots. The results obtained revealed the following: 1. The highest final weight, and average gain in weight was obtained in Lot 1. 2. The Native and Peruvian ipil-ipil when given ad libitum proved to be detrimental to the birds. 3. Statistical analysis indicated that supplementation of fresh Native and Peruvian ipil-ipil leaves gave .insignificant results.
