Online resources: Abstract: The study entitled "Population Density of Bush Lima Beans" was performed from November 1978 to January 1979 at the experimental field of the Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite. Its purpose was to find out the right population density of bush lima beans that will give the maximum yield. A 280 square-meter lot was prepared by plowing with alternate harrowing using animal drawn implement. It was divided into five treatments: T1 - using a density of 250, 000 plants per hectare, T2 - 200,000, T3 - 150,000, T4 - 100,000 and T5 - 50,000 plants. Among the five treatments used, T5 (50,000 plants per hectare) significantly produced the highest average number of marketable green pods per treatment, heaviest marketable green pods per treatment, heaviest plants at maturity, heaviest fresh weight in kilograms per plant at maturity, and the highest computed yield in kilograms per hectare.
