Abstract: NUESTRO, RAMIL A., Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite, March, 1988. "The Effect of Spacing on Growth and Yield of Mungbean (Vignana radiata (L) Wilzeck)", Prof. Simeon S. Crucido (Adviser) The study was conducted in a 504 square meter upland field in Tagaytay City, Cavite from October 1937 to January, 1938 to evaluate the performance of mung-bean grown with different row spacing that would give optimum growth and seed yield to mung bean Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) was used in the study. It was composed of four treatments and four replications. The treatments used were as follows: T1, T2, T3 and T4 with row spacing of 25, 50, 75 and 100 centimeters, respectively. The findings showed that the row spacing’s used in the study gave highly significant result on the number of pod per square meter and dry weight of seeds per square meter (Appendix 13 and 1.). Results further showed that increased branch number was attained with 100 centimeter row spacing: and resulted to increased seed yield of mung bean.
