Abstract: Determination of the possible causes of early mortality in piglets was conducted at David's Farm, Creekside's Farm, 6alazar's Farm and ten backyard Piggery projects in different barrios of Indang, Cavite from September 1979 to March 1980. The descending order of percentage of mortality were: abortion 100 percent, hypoglycemic syndrome 66.66 percent, diarrhea of different causes 32.63 percent, de- composition 16.66 percent, unknown cause 13 percent, Stillbirths 12.86 percent, navel infection 7.41 percent, crushing of piglets 4.55 percent, abnormal presentation 3.8 percent and atresia ani 2.63 percent.

Determination of the possible causes of early mortality in piglets was conducted
at David's Farm, Creekside's Farm, 6alazar's Farm and ten backyard Piggery projects in
different barrios of Indang, Cavite from September 1979 to March 1980.
