This study entitled "Performance of Lanzones Seedlings in Soil Media" was conducted from September 1979 to December 1979 at the main nursery of the Don Severino Agricultural College.
The objectives of this study was to determine the performance of lanzones seed-lings in soil media; to find out which soil media is best suited to lanzones seeds; and to determine as well their effect on the growth performance of lanzones seedlings. An experiment was conducted using three kinds of media such as garden soil, compost, sand, and a combination of the three (garden soil-compost-sand).
After giving the necessary care to the seedlings planted in each medium, the said experiment showed that among the media used, the combination of the sand-compost and garden soil gave the best horticultural character of the lanzones seedlings.
Hence, the author recommends this kind of media for germinating lanzones seeds.
