The study, “Response of Bush Sitao to Complete Fertilizer (14-14-14) Applied at Different Growth Stages", : was conducted at Tejero, Gen. Trias, Cavite from January to March, 1980. The study aimed to determine specifically the best time of applying complete fertilizer (14-14-14) in bush sitao to obtain maximum profit.
The seeds of bush sitao were planted in sixteen plots divided into four groups. Complete fertilizer (14-14-14) at the rate of 100 kgs./ha. was applied at different times, like basal, 15, 30, and 45 days after planting.
Results showed that basal application of complete fertilizer produced the tallest plants (31.82 cms.) while application of complete fertilizer (14-14-14) 30 days after planting produced the smallest plants at maturity.
The highest yield was produced from plots treated with complete fertilizer 45 days after planting. The lowest was produced from plots with basal application of
fertilizer.
