The study, "Response of Bougainvillea Cuttings to Indole Butyric Acid", was conducted in Banaba Cerca, Indang, Cavite from December, 1980 to February, 1981 to determine the response of bougainvillea soft wood cuttings to different concentrations of IBA.
Highly significant results were obtained in number of days from planting to rooting, average length of roots per cutting, while significant results was obtained in the average number of roots per cutting. Insignificant results were obtained in percentage survival, and percentage rooting.
Treatment 4 (250 ppm IBA) gave the highest number of roots and average length of roots.
With respect to percentage survival and percentage rooting, 250 ppm Indole Butyric Acid (Treatment 4) gave 100 percent survival and rooting.
