This study was conducted to determine the factors affecting the career choice of senior high school students of Tagaytay-Mendez Academy and Constancio E. Aure Sr. National High School in Mendez, Cavite. It aimed to (a) describe the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of age, gender, educational attainment and occupation of parents, and estimated monthly income of the family; (b) find out the career choices of the respondents when grouped according to Arts and Communication; Business, Management, Marketing and Technology; Engineering, Manufacturing and Industrial Technology; Health Sciences; Human Services; and Natural Resources and Agriscience; (c) determine the level of influence on the career choices of the respondents including family influence, social influence, and personal influence; (d) determine the significant difference in the career choices of senior high school students of private and public school; (e) find out the significant difference on the level of influence on the career choices of the respondents, and; (f) identify the significant relationship of demographic profile to the career choices of the respondents. This study was conducted from October 2006 to December 2006, which focused mainly on the influential factors of the career choices Of senior high school students of Tagaytay-Mendez Academy and Constancio E. Aure Sr. National High School in Mendez, Cavite. The total population of 80 senior students of Tagaytay-Mendez Academy were the respondents; and out of 200 senior students, 133 were chosen from each section of Constancio E. Aure Sr. National High School. The developed questionnaire was validated and used to determine the influence of the factors on the career choices of the respondents which includes the Personal Data Sheet (PDS) and Factors Affecting Career Choice Inventory (FACCI). Results revealed that the factors identified affect the career choices of the senior high school students of the private and public school. The career choices of the students were not significantly different considering that personal factor is the most among other factors. Gender and family income greatly affect the students' career choice.
